SOLIDARITY

RPN – Return to Homeland

A solidarity network for the dignified repatriation of our loved ones.

WHY RPN

Why RPN?

There is no suitable repatriation insurance in North America for when a death occurs. Too often, the community has to organize emergency public fundraising to bring a loved one home.

The RPN (Retour au Pays Natal) network brings together volunteer Cameroonian and African associations to end such public collections through the strength of numbers: every death becomes the whole community’s concern.

RPN SERVICES

What the network covers

  • Repatriation of the body to the home country, or fulfilment of the deceased’s final wishes.
  • Funeral organization and planning with experienced partners.
  • Support for the family with administrative procedures.
  • Coverage extended to family members living with the member in Canada.

AMAC AND RPN

How it works for our members

Mandatory affiliation

AMAC is officially registered with RPN and every regular member is affiliated. A member who prefers not to join must show proof of equivalent insurance.

Who is covered?

Regular members, probationary members (through their sponsors) and relatives (parents, minor children, siblings) visiting Canada.

Contributions

When a call for contributions is made, each member sends their share (individual coefficient × number of people registered) to AMAC’s treasurer within 72 hours and keeps a sufficient balance in their RPN account.
